Year 7 Religious Education
Religious Education helps pupils to understand the world around them, explore their own experience and identity, and compare this to others.
The curriculum for R.E. aims to ensure all pupils have a secure understanding of various religions and worldviews. Pupils are also given the opportunity to express both their ideas and insights into the significance and impact of religions and worldviews.
Pupils in Year 7 work towards answering three questions based around various topics within Religions Education. The three questions are:
Module 1 – What is so radical about Jesus?
Module 2 – Should religious buildings be sold to feed the starving?
Module 3 – What is good and what is challenging about being a teenage Sikh/Buddhist/Muslim in Britain today?
