Our trip to see the Tempest by William Shakespeare at the Artrix Theatre was thoroughly enjoyed by all of us present. The portrayal of the characters was excellent and the mood that the music provided was very atmospheric. As director, John Edward-Bick, did a wonderful job of choreographing the scenes to their fullest extent. Throughout the three and a half hours of the duration of the production, the story was told in way that reflected the original text of Shakespeare whilst also being contemporary, which was shown during the portrayal of major character by an ex-Parkside pupil. Overall, the play was a very enjoyable and, I believe that I speak for the whole group here, we would not hesitate to see another similar play if we were provided with the opportunity.
