Thursday 26th September

Year 7 were fortunate enough to visit Britain’s ultimate castle!

Dating back to 914, Warwick Castle has stood as an impressive mediaeval fortress on the banks of the river Avon for the last 1100 years. Attacked in 1264, besieged in 1642 and damaged by fire in 1871, the castle has survived the changing fortunes of history and remains one of the most well-preserved mediaeval castles in the UK. We saw the beauty of the landscaped gardens, the mediaeval vaults and the stunning Great Hall. Buzzing with energy and excitement, we climbed to the top of the towers and ramparts which offered breath-taking views of the English countryside.

Our visit was amazing because we watched the magnificent Birds of Prey fly over our heads and we learnt all about the world’s largest trebuchet.
