Young Voices 2019
Thursday 17th January
On Thursday, 17th January 2019, 58 pupils from across Years 5-8 once again took part in the World’s largest children’s choir, ‘Young Voices’. There were over 6000 students from across the Midlands performing at the World Resorts Arena (formerly the Genting Arena). For over 20 years, Young Voices has been inspiring a love of music to children, with all the music being selected and arranged to give the children a real diversity of musical styles. It was a great pleasure to hear so many children sing so wonderfully together.
We had a fantastic day rehearsing and performing with the live band and practising our dance moves, all culminating in a two-hour evening concert. We especially enjoyed lively performances from Urban Strides dance group and Tony Hadley. The behaviour of the pupils was exemplary, and we are very proud of their enthusiasm and commitment to learning the songs and attending rehearsals. It was lovely to see so many parents attend the concert and enjoy the evening with us. We are already looking forward to next year….
