Ambassador for Peace & Education visits Parkside
On Wednesday 29th January, KS3 has the pleasure of observing a powerful speech and taking part in a question and answer session with Ahmad Nawaz. He campaigns globally for peace and education for young people and has spoken about these issues at the UN World Merit360 summit, the House of Lords and over one hundred schools and colleges, including Eton College as well as Cambridge and Oxford Universities.
Ahmad is now running a campaign globally for youth empowerment and is the first-ever young person to be invited by the President of Portugal to speak at the Global Estoril Conference in May 2019, where he met with other heads of the state and some Nobel Laureates to discuss youth role in the society.
We are grateful to Ahmad and his father for taking the time to visit us and speak so candidly and powerfully to our pupils at Parkside. Listening to such a young motivational speaker had an enormous impact with KS3 during an inspirational week 'The difference that we want to make starts with us.'
