Year 7

Welcome to Year 7

The transition from KS2 to KS3 is an important stepping stone, not only within education, but for a pupil’s personal progress and development.

The Year 7 curriculum focuses on the progression of learning, building upon the foundation that pupils have developed within KS2. Moving away from the primary aspects of learning, pupils are introduced to secondary education and continue to discover and experience a range of subjects in more depth. This is a time for children to explore their love of learning and the subjects that interest them in order to inform future direction.

All subjects are taught discretely, with specialist staff, rooms and equipment. All subjects continue to build on the prior learning and skills from the KS2 curriculum.

For further information about the curriculum in our school please contact Mrs J. Terrey Deputy Headteacher.
