Year 5

Welcome to Year 5

We aim to ensure a smooth and supported transition into Middle School. We realise that the leap from First School to Middle School can be a daunting experience, therefore we strive to make this as easy and enjoyable as possible for both parents and pupils.

We begin our Learning Journey adventures with themed Inspiration Days which encourage children to fully engage with their foundation subjects from the outset.

The beauty of our Year 5 classes is the balance between the nurturing environment of a class-based experience with the educational benefits of subject-specialist teachers – particularly within core subjects. We have found that this allows pupils to settle happily in the early weeks before embarking onto a more independent journey through the school.

For further information about the curriculum in our school please contact Mrs R. Cox Deputy Headteacher.
